Connie woke up with a headache this morning and didn’t really feel better until late afternoon. She did manage to struggle along and work on our travel plans for the spring a bit after lunch.
No worries; it rained some over night and was mostly cloudy all day so we probably wouldn’t have done anything anyway.
Neil replaced a couple of burned out light bulbs, did some research on an awning sun shade…these attach to the extended awning and go down to the ground to give you sort of a one sided sun room. Helps hold down the sun a little bit in the sitting area under the awning. After that he had a run and a siesta.
We have noticed a couple of small sugar ants running around on the kitchen counter…so in the late afternoon we took everything off of the counter and sprayed some insecticide (people safe) along the back edge of the counter and the window. Sugar ants are pretty much a way of life in Florida…everybody down here battles them on an ongoing basis, so this is pretty much routine maintenance rather than an out of the ordinary invasion.
Dinner was a pork loin cooked in our Breville toaster oven along with Neil’s Rice and Black Bean combo. Onions, a can of chopped green chile’s, and a couple of wedges of lime and it was pretty yummy…wine coolers along with it made it every yummier.
